Galaxy S23: Samsung would plan the launch in a few months
Samsung has already announced its Galaxy S23, S23+ and S23 Ultra, but not the FE model. This one would not be abandoned for all that, the manufacturer would have planned to launch it in a few months according to the Korean site Hankooki.
Samsung would revive the “Fan Edition” model with a Galaxy S23 FE which would arrive later in 2023. The smartphone would land in the third quarter, potentially at the same time as Samsung’s next generation of foldable phones, which should debut in August.
The decision to launch a Galaxy S23 FE also comes as Samsung reportedly decided against launching the Galaxy A74, the “top-of-the-line” model in the Galaxy A line. last year.
As a reminder, there have already been FE models in the past. It started with the Galaxy S20 FE in 2020. There was a Galaxy S21 FE the following year, but Samsung skipped the Galaxy S22 FE. 2023 would therefore mark the return with the Galaxy S23 FE.
Samsung has managed to sell over 10 million copies of the Galaxy S20 FE. The Galaxy S21 FE didn’t fare as well. Even the Galaxy A73 posted disappointing sales figures, with only three million units. Thus, the company plans its smartphone lineup carefully to avoid sales cannibalization among Galaxy devices.
