Galaxy Book 3 Ultra presented: This Samsung notebook is a technology monster
Samsung ignited a real product firework today. In addition to the Galaxy S23, the South Korean manufacturer also presented the new Galaxy Book 3. Like the new smartphone series, there are three versions of the Galaxy Book. With prices starting at 2,799 euros, the new top model is anything but a bargain – but the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra scores with top equipment that leaves nothing to be desired.
There’s one thing you can’t accuse Samsung of: shyness. The new Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is being touted as “Samsung’s benchmark for notebook performance.” Strong words, but a look at the data sheet reveals that there is definitely something to the advertising slogan.

True to the “Ultra” tag that Samsung only uses for the crème de la crème on its Galaxy smartphones and tablets, the Galaxy Book 3 offers Ultra Technology of the absolute top class and not a whit less.
16 inch display? Check.3K resolution? Check.120Hz refresh rate? Check.13th Gen Intel Core Processor (i7 or i9)? Check. Nvidia RTX 4050 or 4070? Check.16 or 32 GB RAM? Check.512GB or 1TB SSD? Check.Windows 11? Check.
There are also four AKG speakers, a 1080p webcam and a 76 Wh battery, which is re-powered via a 100-watt USB-C charger. Also to a 3-line number pad and a Fingerprint scanner in the power button thought Samsung. Connections are USB-A and USB-C, a microSD slot, HDMI 2.0 and a combined input for microphone and headphones.

Samsung Galaxy Book 3 starts at €2,799
In addition to the powerful hardware, the highlight of the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra is definitely its weight. Almost 1.8 kilos puts the notebook on the scales – a real lightweight in view of the equipment. But Samsung is willing to pay a lot for that, because the Galaxy Book 3 Ultra starts at 2,799 euros and goes up to 3,699 euros, depending on the equipment variant. The device is only available in the color Graphite.
The other devices in the new notebook range are cheaper, such as the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360 (picture above). The standard model, on the other hand, starts at 769 euros. In return, buyers have to make compromises in terms of equipment. For example, there is no AMOLED display or a dedicated GPU. The Galaxy Book 3 series will be available from February 17th.
