Free charging stations for Dutch football associations of the KNVB

Dutch football clubs must be ‘greener’, according to the members of the Dutch Football Association. The goal is to provide various amateur football clubs with free charging stations for electric cars by 2025. The KNVB has joined forces with Revolt and is placing the free all-in-one charging solutions to stimulate electric driving.

Electric driving is a more sustainable choice

Dutch traffic still causes a lot of CO2 emissions every day. We are increasingly realizing that electric driving is the solution. More and more electric cars are on the road and the number of charging stations is growing steadily. And that is better for the environment, because there are fewer or no fossil fuel emissions at all.

Football clubs go green

If you go for green as a football club, then you go for the Hub charging stations from Revolt. These are installed and maintained by Revolt itself. A Hub charging station is a charging solution on which advertisements can be displayed. The 55-inch display makes it possible to show advertisements and content while the car is charging. This is not only beneficial for Revolt, which promotes the company itself. It is also beneficial for football teams that drive electrically.

Who is Revolt and how does it work?

This start-up is working hard to enable the transition to electric mobility. There are already about 350 charging points in the Netherlands. Hopefully there will be a lot more of these thanks to the cooperation with the KNVB and various Dutch football associations. In exchange for the free charging stations, Revolt shows various advertisements. These cover the costs of the posts and the football clubs do not have to pay anything. According to the company, the football clubs can also earn money with the charging stations. They do this by charging limited storage for each kWh that is charged.

It is also possible for football clubs to advertise on Revolt’s media network. Partners and sponsors can also do this. In short, an innovative and smart way to make various football clubs more sustainable!
