Four Samsung phones from 2017 have been cut off from security updates
The Korean Samsung has had a very fruitful period of several months, which includes, among other things issuing updates to new versions of One UI. In addition, he recently announced that all his future phones will always receive at least three versions of Android. In doing so, Google called with care for Pixel mobiles and even overtook the American company in something. Security patches often go to his phones before Google publishes their content. However, as usual, when caring for a large number of devices it is sometimes necessary to cut off some older ones. The end of security updates will now definitely affect four Samsung phones from 2017, specifically models Galaxy J3 Pop, Galaxy A5, Galaxy A3 a Galaxy A7.
Owners of these phones must reckon with the fact that other patches to address possible cyber-attack holes will no longer be officially affected by their devices. The changes in the list for security updates also apply to other Samsung mobile phones. Models A8 2018, A02 and M12 were included in the section for quarterly patches. Of course, the models from the Galaxy S21 series now belong to the category of the highest care. There was also a smiling error while updating the list. For a few hours from him the flexible Galaxy Fold 5G has completely disappeared. But then he came back, so it was really just a mistake. For the moment, Samsung is announcing the end of security updates only for the mentioned J3 Pop, A3, A5 and A7 models.
