Fortnite is coming back to iOS again

It’s been a while (August 2020) that Fortnite was pulled from the App Store. For many avid players, that was also the end of their Fortnite adventures on the iPhone and iPad.

Still, there is good news now, because the CEO of Epic Games (the makers of Fortnite) has announced in a tweet that Fortnite will return to iOS in 2023. He tweeted “Next year to iOS!” and followed up that tweet with a picture of Fortnite.

It is not yet known exactly how Fortnite will become available, but Apple must allow iPhone and iPad owners to use other App Stores from 2023. The CEO of Epic Games is probably hinting that Fortnite is coming back to iOS.

Apple plans to enable the alternative App Stores in iOS 17. It is expected to be possible to download Fortnite on iOS from that moment on. It almost goes without saying that you have to use a different App Store for this.
