Football club PSV is paid in Bitcoin

A first at European level for PSV. The football club from Eindhoven has a new sponsor in the form of Anycoin Direct. A party where you can buy and sell cryptocurrency. The well-known coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and Ripple can be traded on this platform.
The deal between PSV and Anycoin Direct is entirely appropriately financially arranged via Bitcoin. The company has signed for two seasons as a sponsor of the football club. The exact amount of money involved in this deal has not been disclosed. However, the Eindhovens Dagblad speaks of an estimate of around 400,000 euros per season. In this case, the deal amounts to 800,000 euros, without any extension.
If Bitcoin falls in value, it would have a negative effect on the deal between PSV and Anycoin Direct. A clause has therefore been signed stating that the football club will receive a guarantee return if the crypto currency decreases in value. It is not known what amount we should think about.
Crypto and football is not an unknown combination. Ajax also has such a party as a sponsor. However, PSV is the first European football club where the deal is actually sealed via Bitcoin instead of rock-hard euros.
