On Tinder you will soon be able to listen to the favorite songs of other members with the new Music Mode. The dating app will partner with Spotify for this, and with this function the app will play music while your profile is displayed.

Music can connect people, that much is certain. When you and someone else share the same taste in music, you immediately have something to talk about. A good And click is made faster this way and they know that at Tinder too. the company is announcing a partnership with Spotify for a new feature called the Music Mode. It is part of the Explore section in the app.

Everyone recognizes it: that one song that makes you train even harder in the gym: the song that is written for you, that represents who you are, your ‘anthem’. Music Mode allows Tinder members to listen to other members’ anthems. To do this, you link your Spotify account to Tinder. Then choose an anthem on your profile to find your musical match in Music Mode.

“Music Mode allows our members to experience that feeling of being at a party and discovering that someone else has the same taste in music as you,” said Kyle Miller, vice president of product innovation at Tinder. “It’s amazing how adding music as an extra element improves the whole experience on Tinder. Songs are very personal, and Music Mode gives members the chance to explore the feeling, taste and emotion of others.”

Explore tab

Music Mode is part of the Explore tab that provides even more tools for meeting your next flame. You can choose to only meet other early birds, you can easily select the real restaurant lovers and you can quickly look for other thrill-seekers. Tinder itself calls Explore its biggest update since the introduction of the swipe function.
