Final Fantasy IX: a remake of the cult JRPG would be well in the pipes
It’s a fabulous gamers fantasy that could finally come to fruition. After the (still unfinished) remake of Final Fantasy VII, Square-Enix would prepare to adapt Final Fantasy IX, considered by many to be one of the best titles in the franchise! The remake had first “leaked” in an NVIDIA GeForce NOW database, generating intense anticipation among many fans of the saga.
Now it’s the journalist Jeff Grubbgenerally well-informed, who adds a coin to the hype machine: “I will say that I very recently heard, once again, that the Final Fantasy 9 Remake does exist, and it’s going to happen.” The Gematsu site corroborated Jeff Grubb’s statement by announcing in turn that Final Fantasy IX was well in preparation at the Japanese publisher.
In the midst of all these rumors, and by a wonderful coincidence, computer graphics artists and developers have unveiled Final Fantasy IX: Memoria Project, which is nothing but a vision of what FF IX could look like revised and embellished with the Unreal Engine 5 engine. It’s beautiful to die for, and we secretly hope that Square Enix will will inspire some of this “vision” for its own adaptation.
