FIFA 23 breaks with the past and puts a woman on the cover

For the first time with edition 23, a female football player can be seen on the cover of a FIFA game.

Year after year it is a known fact. The cover of the FIFA games. Ronaldo, Mbappe, Hazard. All names from past editions that should light up a light for every football fan. They all have in common that it is a man.

EA Games wants to break with this long tradition. For the first time, there is a woman on the cover. The cover of FIFA 23 has appeared and contains an interesting surprise. The Ultimate Edition features Sam Kerr. A female soccer star who plays for English club Chelsea.

She shares the Ultimate Edition cover with Kylian Mbappé of Paris Saint-Germain. Apparently EA doesn’t dare to just put a woman on the cover. Wouldn’t be fair either, because now say yourself. Everyone knows Mbappe but not everyone knows Kerr.

Mbappé is a well-known appearance on the cover of FIFA 23. In fact, for the footballer from Paris it is already the third time that he is on the cover of a FIFA game.

No FIFA 23 release date has been announced yet. The football game is expected to be released in September this year.
