Fans make a remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica -apkrig
First, a brief recap. Resident Evil – Code: Veronica was first released on Dreamcast in February 2000, and a year later on the PS2 with the subtitle X in an improved version. The game arrived on the GameCube in 2003, and in 2011 we saw a light HD remaster for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. You can also play the original PS2 version on the PS4. However, the well-rated game did not reach other platforms and it seems that it will not officially get to it just like that.
And that is naturally a great pity. Despite the fact that it was only the fourth game from this saga, in Capcom, after the remake of the second and third part, most likely, according to all indications, an improved version of the much better-known Resident Evil 4, ie the numbered one. However, skilled fans who work on their own remake of Resident Evil – Code: Veronica – got involved.
Their goal is to remake the whole game in the spirit of RE2 and RE3 remakes. They want to offer a new version, but at the same time respect the original. They promise two modes. In the first one they attract to a modern 3rd person camera and extended content. Classic mode then returns the original camera and original content to the game. The developers promise to recreate everything down to the smallest detail.
We are looking forward to improved movies, new gameplay elements, expanded content, but at the same time puzzles from the original game. Only two developers are working on the remake and rely on the Unity engine. In order to avoid possible difficulties for the copyright parties, the authors clearly state that the project is not only non-commercial, but does not accept any financial support.
Slight doubts are in place, however, the developers claim that we will taste some of their game relatively soon. The remake is to be divided into four chapters, the first of which should be released in June. We all know very well how often this happens with similar projects. Perhaps because the authors want to use the original dubbing, among other things. Just remember the fan remake RE2, which eventually had to turn into the title Daymare: 1998. No need to go into details, but hope dies last.
We have the first pictures and video from the game. The very idea of the remake is reminiscent of the efforts of other fans to improve Dino Crisis on their own axis.
Resident Evil – Code: Veronica v kostce
The main characters are Claire Redfield and Chris Redfield, but the players have left the scenery of Raccoon City. Technology has also changed. Instead of pre-rendered backgrounds, the game relied on a 3D environment and, for the first time, a dynamic camera and its movement. Originally, it was supposed to be a real sequel to Resident Evil 2. The title garnered excellent marks in reviews, but the success of Resident Evil 4 completely overshadowed it for a few years.
