Are you a budding photographer and are you always looking for the best framing, the best angle, the best light? But if there’s one thing you can’t control, it’s the vagaries of real life. The one outside Instagram and its tidy universe. Between passers-by, traffic signs, cars, posts, fences or billboards, it is not easy to have a good photo of this historic monument, this mountain, this river, this church or this picturesque scene with a Jean Lassalle clone shearing a sheep on the banks of the Gentau Lake.

Photoshop in the pocket in YOLO mode

That was before. So of course, the smartest could use Photoshop’s “stamp” feature, but for ordinary mortals, it was mission impossible. Too many constraints and in the end, this garbage can in the field of Osaka Castle, you got used to it by dint of looking at it, right? With the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, you will be able to erase unwanted elements of your shots from the landscape. Stronger, you will also be able to “erase” objects or people on photos that you have not captured yourself.

With the magic eraser function, transform yourself into the Superman of the photo!

But how does it work ?

In the Middle Ages, we would have burned Google for witchcraft, the process is so crazy (we would have burned them for other things before that, but still…). Just go to the app Google Photosto select a picture, to make To modify then Tools and finally magic eraser. Finally, pass your finger over the element to be deleted or circle it if it is too large. The result depends on the background: on asphalt or a brick wall it is excellent. It’s a bit more random with a variegated background. It is of course possible to go back and start over to try a new try with the AI. You’ll see it in our video, it’s very well done and very intuitive…

What about Pixel 6? No !

And you don’t have to have a Pixel 6 or 6 Pro to enjoy it. It is therefore not necessarily Google’s new “in-house” chip, the very powerful Google Tensor. By installing the latest version of Google Photos on a Pixel 3 XL, 4, 4a, 4a 5G or 5 or 5a, you can also take advantage of this feature. Stronger, some users have even been able to use it on “exotic” devices such as some OnePlus or powerful Realme. Give it a shot!
