Errors in the -apkrig engine may be responsible for Abandoned
The story of Abandoned, or rather its journey of revelation, writes another incredible chapter. After the developers were not able to keep their promise and did not present the game within the set deadline, despite several delays, they publish on official twitter account one bizarre post after another. While the technical issues were affected on Tuesday by the delivery of the patch, which was to be supplemented by the promised but unplayable part of the game, which served as the first trailer, in the following days the developers indicated that the bugs were in itself game. However, players lose patience and point to obvious gaps in the information provided by Blue Box, in particular the necessary patch certification, undoubted involvement of Sony and, most importantly, illogical developer behavior, which in no way helps to calm the situation or dispel doubts. However, in a wonderful story about a small studio, a broken game and a lot of fan pressure, developer Hasan Kahraman’s studio continued yesterday, indicating that the solution to the problem is almost at hand.
We dealt with multiple engine issues that occured last minute after we spotted a graphical glitch. For that we wanted to do a quick update. We are almost there as most of the testing is completed.

“We want to ask everyone to wait for the patch in peace,” the developers said during the night from Thursday to Friday. “We understand your frustration. We are a 100% real studio and we work with passion on a game that we believe in, “add the representatives of Blue Box Game Studios. He explains that at the last minute they faced many engine problems, which they were supposed to notice through a graphic glitch. “It simply came to our notice then. We almost have it and most of the testing is finished, “explain the authors Abandoned, but judging by the comments, they do not encounter much understanding. Players wonder how it is possible that the developers noticed the bug at a time when everything had to be approved by Sony for some time. How is it possible that they encountered an error after working for two months on a show that was to be published a long time ago, and no doubt the final version of them went through the cross many times. And they don’t understand why they were releasing a teaser on Twitter 13 minutes before the expected revelation, because that would mean that they noticed the mistakes in the last 13 minutes ?!
Few people side with the Blue Box in the comments, and the players show that the whole of Abandoned is starting to be stolen from them. They also point to the study’s traceable past, which is associated with a number of similar incidents, which is becoming increasingly clear that there is no game. The absence of any statements from Sony is also very strange, although it is difficult to decide whether due to that it could still go a little bigger, or, for example, because the Japanese company has already decided not to give the game space on the PlayStation, and all the talk from the developers can be just a lie delaying the inevitable. But there are a lot of eventualities, and we still hope – without exaggerated hopes and expectations – that we will at least find out what Abandoned is, whatever it is. a small independent game from the Netherlands, or a cover for another project, as is often speculated. The fact remains, however, that Blue Box, even in the face of a huge decline in its own reputation, is not acting in its own interest to fix anything, and in the end we would not be surprised if Abandoned turned out as with previous unsuccessful studio projects.
Infographics circulate among the fans, including links to individual titles, which clearly summarizes that people from the Blue Box did not behave in a similar way for the first time. In 2015, they announced the game Rewind, for which they were preparing a playable teaser. However, it was postponed due to technical problems, the promised VR support was canceled, Kickstarter was canceled, development was later suspended, then the developer announced a new project, then returned to Rewind and finally ended this part of their own history by deleting the site and canceling the game . As for the mentioned new project, the change for the horror was The Lost Tape, which was supposed to be soon show in the upcoming stream. But it never happened, the game naturally did not work and its entry was deleted from the IndieDB database. But that’s not the end of it – a similar fate befell the games The Whisperer from 2017 and Unseen Faces from the following year. Two years ago, Blue Box released the mobile application Tales of the Six Swords, for which he promised an update, but it never came out and the application disappeared from the store. And finally, The Haunting, which received preliminary access to Steam, received the vast majority of negative reviews, promised a major update for it, but instead stopped developing the game, handed it over to another, probably fictitious, company Createq to complete the game, but even this studio canceled the development. Abandoned and everything that happens around him fits into all this uncomfortably, but there is nothing left but to wait until it all ends and we will finally be able to move on…
