Business is business : Elon Musk is on tour in China. The Tesla boss will not be able to tweet his impressions of the moment (Twitter being banned in China), but his very tight schedule would probably not have allowed him to take a break. Because since his arrival in Beijing, the star entrepreneur has already met 3 ministers (including Foreign Minister Qin Gang) and had dinner with the CEO of CATL, the Chinese electric battery giant. In view of the first images of this business visit (even with a diplomatic background), Elon Musk held a rather sober attitude, far from the extravagances he likes on the other side of the Atlantic (the arrival at Twitter with a bidet between the arms for example). Although nothing has officially leaked, Reuters says talks between Musk and China’s trade and industry ministers focused on a plan to expand the GigaFactory in Shanghai. Elon Musk would also take advantage of his stay to review the state of Chinese competition in the EV market, competition that has been more and more aggressive in recent years…
