Ellemieke Vermolen shares photo stillborn son: ‘After six years you get a face today’

Ellemieke Vermolen commemorates her Josha by sharing a photo of him for the first time. He was stillborn six years ago today.

On Instagram she writes: ‘Today is your day dear Josha, six years ago you were born silent. You were placed on my chest, I counted your fingers and your toes as a mother does when she holds her baby for the first time. On this day you will get a face after six years.”

Ellemieke refers to her book Come back into your power after loss, that she wrote for the grief process and that is now in bookstores. ‘Today we send our story to the world with our book. Your gift to me and my gift to you. Indeed I see it as a “gift”. I am grateful to be able to share my story. I celebrate this day with my boys with cake and champagne. That’s what we’re going to do today. From my heart to your heart. In love and light.’

Ellemieke got Josha with top chef Sergio Herman from whom she is now. is separated. Together they have two other sons.
