Elden Ring: Albinaur Tower – Solve Puzzles & Break Seals

The Albinaurian Tower in Elden Ring is locked with a seal and in order to break it you have to solve a tricky puzzle. At this point we will show you how to open this tower and get the reward inside.

Puzzles at the Albinaurian Tower

Finding this tower is already a challenge, because it is located in the east of the Hallowed Snowfield and you can only see a few meters from here. We have marked the exact location of the Albinaurian Tower on the map below.

In contrast to other puzzles such as the Heretical Tower or the Treacherous Tower, there is no gnome statue with a book next to the entrance that gives you a clue to the puzzle solution. However, you can to the left of the entrance a lighted statue of two battling wights see, which gives you a hint for the solution.

That’s how you break the seal

Some phantom wights are patrolling near and behind the Albinaurian Tower. To solve the puzzle you have to get the gnomes to fight each other like the statue shows. There are two ways to achieve this:

1. Summons the Ashes of Vampire Imps and have them kill one of the Imps. In order for the seal to be broken, they, and not you, must kill a gnome. Unless you chose the ashes of the vampire goblins as a souvenir at the start of the game, you can choose them later Buy for 2,000 Runes from the Departed Merchant in Liurnia near the main gate to the Academy.
2. Use a Beguiling Branch on one of the Imps. This will make him friendly towards you and other minions will attack him. If one of the wights dies this way, the seal is broken. You can choose beguiling branches as a souvenir at the start of the game or from the nomadic merchant north of the Church of Bellum in Liurnia for 1,600 runes each.

Reward in the Albinaurian Tower

If you have broken the seal of the tower with one of the two options, you can climb up the ladder inside and enter the tower chamber via the stairs outside. Here you will find your reward in the form of the Idol Mass Talisman. This increases the effect of spells by 8%.
