EA seems to be working on a game set in the time of Mandalorian -apkrig

There is no doubt that The Mandalorian series – although completely different from the Star Wars movies – received very positive reviews from fans. Therefore, we would not be surprised if some studio was working on a video game adaptation, which could potentially come with other series of the series. We don’t know if that’s really the case yet, but things about the new Star Wars world games have started to move, and we don’t just mean the renewal of Lucasfilm Games or the release of an exclusive contract with Electronic Arts. This is a new project, which is being worked on together with EA developers by actors Janina Gavankar and TJ Ramini, who have lent their appearance to Iden Versio and Del Meek in Battlefront II, and their stories could come to life again.

Indications that the two actors are working on a hitherto unannounced project came in November last year, but few noticed them, let alone considered them important. Three months ago, Gavankar and Ramini shared photos of suits for filming in a motion capture studio, and only through smilies indicated that the news was about a video game. Photographs, resp. the mentioned tweets, however, now surfaced when Gavnakar answered a fan’s question. “What Iden Versio did at the time [seriálu] The Mandaloriana, “asked the user with the nickname KraterAnonymous. And the answer was a tweet by Janina Gavankar, in which she identified game screenwriters Walt Williams and Mitch Dyer asking if it can tell the fan.

This, of course, sparked a series of speculations, and fans also paint a new game based on a summary of the entire sequence of tweets and hints, in which the imperial commando Inferno Squad will play the main role. Its commander is Iden Versio, and the other actors, who were to be in Los Angeles last November for several shootings in the motion capture studio, played members of an elite unit in Battlefront. The wildest speculation even speaks of a continuation of this series, but nothing is certain at the moment. In addition, it is fair to add that screenwriter Mitch Dyer has not worked at EA Motive since last August and is currently working with WB Montreal, which in the eyes of some fans undermines the likelihood of the above considerations.

However, if the game with the commander Inferno were to occur, similarly to the case of Mandalorian, we would have a very untraditional game set-up, which would show the known conflict from the point of view of the opposite side. Not that this has never happened in the past, but we would really like a stand-alone game focused only on suppressing the Rebels’ efforts in the established universe. In addition, the game room could bring catchy cooperation or competitive multiplayer modes, which would undoubtedly appeal to Electronic Arts. So let’s keep our fingers crossed for the developers and hope that the result will not be too far from the wishes of the fans.
