Dynamic themes from Android 12 can also be obtained by smartphones from other manufacturers
The new Material You from Android 12 brings not only a new design, but also the ability to customize the user interface more than ever before. Thanks to the new system, you can match the entire color scheme of Android with the colors of your wallpaper. The system will automatically create a rich palette based on wallpaper, consisting of five basic colors and another 12 shades.
The only downside is that the open source version of Android 12 does not currently support this feature, which means that it will be available exclusively for Google Pixel devices. However, according to Android Central, this may change with the release of Android 12.1.
Material You also on superstructures of other manufacturers?
Developers from the XDA portal have revealed signs that Google plans to make the system available to other manufacturers. It was allegedly an internal version of Android 12.1, where the new Material You appears under the code name “monet”.
If the speculations are confirmed and the company makes the API of the new module available, we might see its implementation on some extensions that are far from pure Android.

Of course, the decision will then remain with the manufacturers themselves, and they may decide to omit a feature from their system. We’re probably a long way from that, as it’s not yet clear when Google plans to release an improved version of Android 12.
