Dying Light 2: Find safes and codes

Occasionally you will find safes in Dying Light 2 that you can only open if you know the code to do so. Usually it’s not a problem, because the safe codes are always nearby.

Where can I find the vault codes?

Look carefully around the room where the safe is. On a wall or in a box, for example, you will definitely find a note. The simplest variants of the notes call you the code directly.

However, there are also notes that, for example contain a mathematical calculation. If you solve them, you will find out the safe code. Some notes contain puzzles. Some of these can be quite difficult, but none of them are unsolvable.

Below are a few safes we found. As we come across more difficult puzzles, we will add the solution here.

Safe code in Nightrunner hideout in Houndfield

You can probably find this safe as part of the Cheers! mission, because that’s when we stumbled across the Nightrunner hideout where it’s located. The vault code is 1-0-1 and you can find him in the box on the floor in the same room (see the following picture).

In this Nightrunner hideout in Houndfield you will find a safe and the note with the code in the box next to it.

Safe code in the church tower in Trinity

As part of the side mission “Missing Persons” you will go to the church tower in Trinity. This is the church tower by the bazaar. Climbing up is quite difficult, but once you get to the top, you will find another safe. You can find the note with a simple math problem in the same room on the wall.

  • Safe Code: 5-1-0 (5 x 100 + 15 – 5 = 510)
  • Contents: Artifact Collectible Carl’s Journal #4

These safes are simple examples. Once we come across heavy safes, we will offer the solutions here in the article.
