Douwe Bob does not see his daughters: “I find that very difficult”
In December 2021 daughter Ziggy and daughter Bobby Lou were born, son Elias was born in May 2022. The singer is engaged to Elias’ mother, Anouk. He regularly shares cute snaps of little Elias. In LINDA. he tells Hedy d’Ancona (86) about his daughters.
“I would like to tell you everything, that is how I am. But for the first time in my life I have to consider others. My daughters’ mothers don’t want to be in the media and I respect that. So now I’m dealing with three women from different backgrounds who all have different ideas about life and the future. Which makes me see my daughters less than my son. Or rather: I don’t see them at all at the moment. And I find that very difficult.”
A father in their life
The singer thinks it is important that his children grow up with a father in their lives. “I think it’s super important that they all grow up with a father with whom they have a good relationship. So I want to work on that seriously, but there are still a number of obstacles that we have to remove.”
In any case, Douwe works hard for it, he says. He no longer has a rock and roll life and is a present father to his son, Elias. “I am very aware that I no longer live for myself. Although that makes it even more distressing that I am not there for the girls at the moment.”
He would prefer to live under one roof with all the women and children. “If it’s up to me, everyone lives together yes. I just really want to have my kids with me.”
