Does the manufacturer really go that far?
The notch (display notch) was Apple’s trademark of the iPhone and has been in the MacBook Pro since last fall. What if the upcoming Apple Watch 8 copied the design feature along with the front camera? Would the manufacturer go too far? We can already marvel at what such a smartwatch design could look like.
With the iPhone we got used to the notch for a long time, with the MacBook Pro we now have to. So far, the iPad and Apple Watch have been spared. Assuming Apple would want to integrate a front camera in the upcoming Apple Watch 8, would the notch also be an option for the smartwatch?

The marketing strategist and product designer got the idea when he took a look at Facebook’s ominous smartwatch. Ortolani grabs the notch or the camera and grabs it discreetly in the upper area of the display on the Apple Watch. Although it is clearly visible there, it does not appear intrusive. Unlike iPhone and Mac makes this more of a point, not a bar. An obvious solution for the designer, he writes:
