Crysis 4: New teaser provides massive anticipation
The last part of the Crysis series was released on February 19, 2013 – that was almost 9 years ago now. Since then, Crytek has taken on other projects, including some VR projects and the shooter secret Hunt: Showdown. However, Crysis fans were left out for a long time. Only remastered versions of the main parts of the series were released in the last year, which made the players even hotter for a sequel.
And apparently there really will be. Because now was released a short teaser on the official Crysis YouTube account announcing a fourth installment in the series.
The fans are completely over the moon. Hundreds of users are posting their reactions on Twitter and are already speculating at length which secrets and details could be hiding in the short teaser trailer. The trailer is also going through the roof on YouTube. Nice The short video was able to generate more than 180,000 views – almost 11,200 spectators gave an additional thumbs up.
Does your PC pack Crysis 4?
While there are currently no details on the hardware requirements of Crysis 4, we assume that your current PC will have a hard time handling the new shooter game on the highest graphics settings and at smooth frame rates when it is released. Because according to the official blog entry written by Crytek CEO Avni Yerli, the project is at the moment still in a very early development phase (Source: Crytek).
In other words: It will probably be a few more years before Crysis 4 is actually released. And since the reputation of the series is mainly linked to its graphics quality, we assume that the developers will pull out all the stops again this time and even the latest gaming computers will be pushed to their limits by the time of release.
With a bit of luck, owners of an RTX 3090 or even RTX 3080 Ti can still be happy that the game runs smoothly on their systems in high settings – but at the moment we wouldn’t count on it. We’ll probably only know more when we see the first gameplay of Crysis 4.
