Do we remember the game Splinter Cell? It’s coming back

Ubisoft

Splinter Cell was a pretty popular game. Ubisoft is now working on a new version and bringing the game back.

It’s actually called Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell. It’s a stealth game where the character Sam Fisher has to perform all kinds of missions. He is an agent of the United States Security Agency (NSA). The agents work ‘outside’ the security services. If caught, the United States will deny any involvement.

The agents are dispatched with the mission of guarding security and peace for the United States. And so they have to do this in a way that they won’t be noticed. Sneaking is key, which is why you get some really cool tools. Think of gadgets and weapons that make no sound.

Splinter Cell remake

A whopping 32 million games have been sold since launch and the publisher is Ubisoft. The game is played from a third-person perspective. So you see the character completely in the picture. Ubisoft now thinks the time is right to make a completely new remake. The remake will be made in the well-known Snowdrop single from Ubisoft. It was also used for the game The Division in 2016. The developer says the remake will not have an open world. This while Ubisoft does this with many games these days. Especially with shooters. The game maintains linear levels, in which players constantly have to choose how to solve certain situations in different missions.

The last time a Splinter-Cell game came out was back in 2013. It’s called Blacklist and the same team from this game will now also make the remake.
