The Tax Authorities have released a new version of the Declaration app. The latest version of the ‘Income Tax Return’ application has been prepared for filing the 2021 tax return. The application makes it possible to complete the 2021 return at the touch of a button and send it to the Tax Authorities. As of today, March 1, 2022, the income tax is ready, with the data known to the tax authorities. You check this and you can then send it. You can immediately see how much you have to pay or how much money you get back.
In some cases it is not possible to use the Tax Return app. This is the case in the following circumstances:
- did not have the same tax partner throughout the year
- bought or sold your home and therefore had deductible expenses
- had a residual debt for a former owner-occupied home
- rented out your home temporarily, for example via Airbnb
- had a business
- had a share in an undivided inheritance
- had income from other work
- lived abroad
- had income from abroad
- had possessions abroad
- was a co-parent, and your minor child was not registered at your address
- had deductible items, such as gifts, healthcare costs or study costs
As mentioned, you can file your tax return from now on. If you do this before April 1, 2021, you will be notified before July 1, this year about the amount that you have to pay, or that you will be refunded.
