Digital tickets for Ed Sheeran – that’s how it works

Is Eventim heralding the end of paper tickets for events? The first concert tickets will soon only be available in digital form. Entry to the event then works via the so-called Eventim.Pass.

It all starts with the advance sale of tickets for the Ed Sheeran Tour 2022 in Germany. The presale begins on Saturday, September 25th, at 11 a.m.. In order to be well prepared for ticket sales, you should find out about the Eventim.Pass in advance. The pass is part of the Eventim app for smartphones. For the digital tickets you need at least iOS 12 or Android 5.0. The app is available free of charge in the “Google Play Store” or iOS app store.

Order tickets with the Eventim.Pass

The tickets for the Ed Sheeran concerts will be available at Eventim only in digital form. Tickets cannot be ordered without a smartphone. Enthusiastic concert-goers and fans of the British singer go empty-handed from the advance booking when it comes to topping up the printed ticket collection. It will no printed concert ticket sent. This is how the Eventim Pass works:

1. You need the Eventim app on your smartphone.
2. Order the tickets as usual via the Eventim website or via the app and select the Eventim.Pass as a “shipping option”.
3. Log into the Eventim app with the customer data you used to buy the tickets on the ticket platform.
4. Controls the section “My events” at. Here you can find the tickets you have ordered in digital form as a QR code.
5. Once you have opened the ticket, it is then available also offline to disposal. So you don’t need an internet connection for the event, but of course you have to have your cell phone with you with a charged battery.
6. Show the QR code at the entrance like a normal paper ticket.

When ordering you should a valid phone number indicate. A TAN is sent to the number via SMS. The tickets are activated via the TAN. The tickets in the Eventim.Pass are personalized. The name of the buyer is indicated on all tickets within an order. So you should give your correct first and last name and have photo ID with you when you enter. If several tickets were purchased in one order, all ticket holders must come to the entrance together with the owner. So you cannot appear as a group with a time delay. A maximum of six tickets can be ordered via one account with Ed Sheeran advance sales. If you are a larger group, additional tickets must be purchased using a different Eventim account. If the entry takes place with the Eventim.Pass system, concert tickets are not suitable as gifts if the person ordering does not come to the event.

When will my digital ticket arrive?

The tickets appear in the Eventim.Pass as soon as your payment has been received. In the case of Ed Sheeran advance sales, however, the provider is already indicating that the delivery of the digital tickets delayed by probably 14 days will. The reason for this is a security check to combat the black market. As soon as the ticket is available in the app, you will receive an email. the tickets cannot go to the wallet to be added.

Lost your cell phone or changed your number?

In the future, you can still buy tickets without the app, but you can only enter certain events using the code on your mobile phone. Eventim wants to curb the black market, but before the concert you have to make sure that your device is still charged and not left at home.

Purchased tickets are linked to your Eventim account. So if you have lost your smartphone, simply log in to the new smartphone with your account details. But if you no longer know the password and cannot restore it, the tickets are lost. Eventim support can only help here. If you have changed your mobile phone number after ordering and before receiving the validation TAN, you must also contact customer support.

Eventim.Pass: Can I resell tickets?

If you can’t go to the event anymore, you don’t have to give away your smartphone with the Eventim app. Like “normal” tickets, the digital concert tickets can also be purchased from Eventim’s own Sell ​​the fanSALE sales platform again. In contrast to “eBay classifieds” or other places, no “moon prices” can be called up on the platform. Instead, you can ask for the original price at most. You can sell the tickets directly via the ticket overview in the Eventim app. The Eventim.Pass tickets cannot be resold on other platforms.
