Deutsche Telekom presents its own 5G cell phones
With the T Phone and T Phone Pro, Telekom has announced its own 5G cell phones. The cheap smartphones will be available in the first countries from October 5th. German customers will have to wait until early 2023.
T Phone (Pro): Telekom presents its own mobile phones
With the aim of “making 5G accessible to the general public”, Deutsche Telekom two smartphones announced, which will be published shortly. A few countries in south-eastern Europe as well as Austria and the Czech Republic are making the start. In Germany, the T Phone and T Phone Pro will not be launched until early 2023.
Because of the quite reasonable prices apart from the 5G functionality, no miracle is to be expected with the equipment. The T Phone has an LC display with a diagonal of 6.52 inches. Face recognition and a fingerprint sensor in the screen are included, as well as a classic headphone jack. The triple camera on the back offers resolutions of 50, 2 and 2 MP.
When it comes to the processor, Telekom opted for the MediaTek Dimension 700 decide, which is supported by 4 GB of working memory and 64 GB of expandable storage. The battery has a capacity of 4,500 mAh and can be charged with 15 watts via USB-C. Android 12 is pre-installed on the phone (source: telecom).

T Phone Pro with 5,000 mAh battery
The battery of the Pro version is larger at 5,000 mAh and can also be recharged wirelessly. Differences can also be seen in the display, which is on 6.82 on the diagonal comes.
The processor remains the MediaTek Dimensity 700, but there are 6 GB of working memory and 128 GB of expandable storage. Unlike the standard version NFC is supported. Instead of a depth sensor on the back, an ultra wide angle (5 instead of 2 MP) was chosen.
The T Phone appears for 199 euros, the T Phone Pro for 249 euros. Telekom offers “attractive tariff bundles” that start at 1 euro per month. Details on this have not yet been given.
