Deezer now offers lyrics translations – that’s how it works
Deezer is the first streaming service to translate song lyrics from English into German, French, Portuguese or Spanish. Dutch isn’t there yet, but Deezer has promised to add more languages soon. You need to know this.

Deezer enables lyrics translation
This feature brings fans even closer to their favorite artists as they can better understand the lyrics, sing along themselves or share them with others on social media. From now on, Deezer allows its users to have lyrics translated. With just one click, you can view lyrics translations in real time. It might even be a fun idea to learn a new language using song lyrics.
Currently, the new translation feature is available for the 10,000 most popular songs. Users can have the lyrics translated from English to German, French, Portuguese or Spanish. More translations, including Dutch, will be added over time.

This is how the translation function works
Do you have a Deezer account and want to view the translated lyrics? Retrieving the texts is not difficult. Below we have listed what you need to do for this.
- Tap the microphone icon to call up the lyrics;
- Tap the ‘With translation’ button;
- The translated version is displayed and played in real time;
- To disable the feature, click on ‘Without translation’.

The Hit Tracks and Hot Lyrics playlists bring together more songs with translated lyrics. With the lyrics function, as a music fan you can now not only sing along to your favorite lyrics, but also understand them better and possibly even use them to learn the language.
The new lyrics translation feature is available for iOS, iPadOS, and the desktop app for Mac. Of course, the function also works in the Deezer web app.
