At least until 2027, DAZN will broadcast most of the UEFA Champions League games in Germany. From the 2024/25 season, significantly more games will also be shown. DAZN celebrates the extension with a new offer for fans who do not yet have a subscription.

DAZN: UEFA Champions League until 2027

At first it was just rumours, now DAZN has officially confirmed it: by 2027, the sports streaming provider has the rights to the Broadcasting of many games of the UEFA Champions League in Germany secured (source: sports buzzer). Amazon will also remain as an additional transmission partner of UEFA.

For fans without a subscription, DAZN has launched a new offer to celebrate the day. Those who opt for the annual subscription by December 31, 2022 only pays 19.99 euros per month instead of 29.99 euros. The offer is available to all new customers and returning customers.

In the announcement, DAZN points out that fans can look forward to even more Champions League from the 2024/25 season. 90 percent of all games should then be shown, what 186 of 203 possible encounters per season. At least three out of four games with German participation are promised per week.

The increased number of transmissions also has to do with that new UEFA competition format to do in which 36 instead of 32 teams take part and the group stage is replaced by a league stage.

Champions League also on Amazon

While DAZN shows the lion’s share of Champions League games, Amazon has to settle for a much smaller package. About Amazon Prime Video will in future stand for the German market 17 games each season ready, previously there were 16. The games are shown exclusively and Amazon has the first right of access when selecting the games.
