Dangerous Joker malware is rampant in apps on Google Play!
We informed you about the Joker malware a year ago. He first appeared at the beginning of 2017. Unfortunately, Google has not been able to eliminate it so far, and from time to time an application containing this malware will appear on Google Play. A new report from the 91mobiles website points out for another 8 dangerous applications. We therefore recommend that you check your phone to see if you have accidentally installed one of the applications.
Dangerous malware Joker again on Google Play
Malware Joker has been discovered in the following applications:
- Auxilliary Message
- Element Scanner
- Fast Magic SMS
- Free CamScanner
- Go Messages
- Super Message
- Super SMS
- Travel Wallpapers
Google has already been notified of these applications and immediately downloaded it from Google Play. But before that happened, he managed to download them relatively large number of users. An application that contains Joker malware requests permission to manage and make phone calls, access contacts, and read notifications. So the application behaves seemingly normally, but in the background you subscribe to premium services without knowing anything about it.
