Czech machines are expanding with multiplayer -apkrig

Christmas arrived a few days earlier. At least for players and fans of the Czech transport strategy Mashinka from the developer Jan Zelený. After another wave of hard work, it makes multiplayer available in a test version, in which up to eight players can compete with each other and with cooperation. Multiplayer is already a full-fledged part of Mashinek, but the author is waiting for proper testing by the community before the multiplayer game is deployed in a sharp version, which has been in the pre-access program for several years and is nearing completion.

“I wanted to release Multiplayer on the experimental branch of the game already in October, but we still found more and more problems and some of them were quite serious,” says Jan Zelený at the beginning of the message. Nevertheless, he fully focused on the quickest possible repair and completion of the first fully functional version, which he is bringing and according to the responses of the players, it is a very successful addition. As mentioned above, Mashinky are available to eight players who can embark on their own transport adventures on official and community-created maps. When you start the game, all you have to do is enable multiplayer options, which will guarantee that others will be able to join your game. Under peer-to-peer rules, even a person who does not have a public IP address can start a game, and if he or she disconnects, his or her company will continue to operate in the player’s absence. It is therefore not necessary to agree on a specific hour of playing together, and it is enough for the server to run on the side of the host.

Hand in hand with multiplayer, Jan Zelený added other functions that should make playing together more pleasant. One such thing is chat, but it can also be added to messages links to places on the map or specific objects, which the recipient of the message can then click on and be transferred to a specific place. Multiplayer is also considered in the first person mode, which is part of Mashinek and complements building your own company with an aesthetic element of enjoying what you have created. If you switch to the first person view in a multiplayer game, you will see another player’s cursor on the map or even a special name column so that you can enter the game directly meet. It’s more of a fun feature than a very useful one, but just a fun and loving in Mashinky.

To make playing as comfortable as possible, the scripts were also considered – which runs on the server side and is available to all connected players, as well as the use of modifications. This part is also controlled by the server, which can prevent and allow their use, or you can choose the “download” option, which automatically implements the appropriate modifications to other players in the game. In addition, the game is able to separate modifications for multiplayer and singleplayer, so there should be no collisions and Mashinky takes care of everything. Of course, in connection with the multiplayer game, there are also invitations through a list of friends on Steam, naming your own company by account name or a detailed chart from which you can conveniently deduce who is in charge and why.

What else needs to be completed?

According to the author Mashinek, although multiplayer is an important milestone on the way to completing the game, there are still a few important things left. Next year, the last, seventh epoch, air transport and other content related to the already available modes of transport will be mentioned. Here, Jan Zelený wants to focus primarily on road vehicles and continue to fine-tune the content and operation of the game according to community reactions. He also mentions that the game is significantly supported by almost 400 modifications – mainly new vehicles and locomotives – and thanks for the remote feedback and support throughout the preliminary approach.

As far as one’s own playing is concerned, it can take place either competitively or cooperatively. The choice is yours and the game doesn’t seem to explicitly favor one or the other approach. For example, you can join another player’s company instead of starting your own, collaborate on quests, share a railroad with another company, or deny it to others, or request a fee and pay something else to other players. Everything else takes place on the experimental branch of Mashinek and the author of the game will gradually analyze the feedback so that he can possibly make some more interventions. In addition to this important update, it also fixes previously reported bugs, including a yellow chain signal to check if the route ahead is clear, a fix for vertical glitches, a GPU warm-up in the main menu, or rare crashes in the game.
