Cyberpunk -apkrig has appeared in xCloud and Game Pass commercials
As we informed you yesterday, Microsoft has also made playing out titles from the Game Pass library via the cloud available on the Xbox One and Xbox Series consoles. The service, which awaited a lot of players, works in exactly the same way as on mobile devices or computers, and Microsoft has not announced any changes with its introduction. Therefore, players are surprised by the official advertisement, which contains footage from games that are not in the Game Pass library and it is demonstrably not possible to play them via remote streaming. The exception, of course, is the ability to stream content from your own console to another device using the Xbox application, but there is no advertising about this and apparently there is one big misunderstanding. The video also misses the Cyberpunk 2077 or F1 2021, and attentive fans are asking whether this means the impending inclusion of these games in the Game Pass or an adjustment to the conditions and operation of the Xbox Cloud Gaming.

It was Cyberpunk 2077 that caused the biggest uproar – the game flashes for a short time in time 0:18, when the background sounds that it’s really great play on eighth-generation consoles (Xbox One) content designed only for ninth-generation (Xbox Series). The discovery was made by a user of Reddit, nicknamed Statenotcity, who identified the shot based on the protagonist’s weapon firing three robots. It is an Overture pistol from Cyberpunk 2077, which at the beginning the fan was not able to completely confirm, because according to his words he has not played the game yet. However, other discussants supported his assumption and even added a link to the official video from the RED Project CD, where the shot is exactly the same at about 3:03. So what does that mean? Is Cyberpunk 2077 heading for a Game Pass with the upcoming anniversary, which would make some sense thanks to the marketing collaboration that Polish developers concluded before the release of the game with Microsoft? It sounds quite tempting, but at least it’s not true yet…
I just thought I’ll chime in to say that there are no Game Pass plans for Cyberpunk 2077.

Radek Grabowski, Director of the PR Department of the RED CD Project, responded to tweet magazine Video Games Chronicle and stated that they do not have such plans with Cyberpunk 2077. The article has been adequately edited, but there is still a slight suspicion in the background as to whether Grabowski is really honest. This is because it doesn’t seem very likely that an ad on Xbox Cloud Gaming would have come into being without being reviewed many times, including the footage used and the context it may create. The fact that right after Cyberpunk 2077 follows the shot of the game F1 2021, which is also not in the Game Pass menu and is also missing in the EA Play program, through which it would be possible to trace at least some connection with the Microsoft subscription, cannot be left aside. .
So is this a mistake? Or about the bad timing of plans that players should learn officially later? Or has someone simply made a mistake, selected nice shots for the ad, and relies on a video warning that the offer only links to supported titles? We would believe the latter, in a game environment where players are used to examining every pixel and every letter, but it seems a bit unfortunate.
