COVID pass under the skin? Not a problem! This Swedish company knows how to do it
Are you tired of showing COVID pass from your mobile phone in the establishments? It doesn’t matter, the Swedish company invented a microchip that you have injected into your body and you never have to bother with your mobile phone again. It’s fast and efficient, what do you say? Would you be able to inject such a microchip into your body? The report was brought by the Insider portal.
The scannable COVID pass in the form of a microchip has become a reality
The present invention by Dsruptive Subdermals is actually a pre-programmed chip measuring 2 x 16 mm. It is then injected under the skin.
“I have a chip implant in my hand and I programmed the chip to have a COVID pass on the chip, because I always want it easily accessible,” said Hannes Sjoblad, CEO of Dsruptive Subdermals.
In the video, Sjoblad also demonstrated how technology works. Just pull out the phone, attach it to the injection site where the chip is located, and within a second, its vaccination certificate will be displayed on the phone in the form of a PDF file. This will work in cases where he goes somewhere and does not have a phone. The price of such an implant is € 100.
For people who are struggling for privacy, Sjoblad has a link: ”… (Chips) do not have a battery. So they can’t send a signal on their own. They are passive and basically just sleeping. They can never reveal your location, they only activate if you touch them with your phone. That means they can’t be used to track location. ”
In an email to Insider, Sjoblad said the chip could be updated at any time to display any content.
“The update is quite simple, just use the app on your phone to change the contents of the chip. Basically, I can change its content every day – yesterday I had LinkedIn info there, today COVID pass, tomorrow there may be something completely different. ”
His company, Dsruptive Subdermals, has developed another microchip that allows the owner to measure temperature. It basically serves as a scannable thermometer.
This technology is not new at all in Sweden. As early as 2018, thousands of people were being “pinched” into the area over the thumb, just to be able to enter homes, fitness centers or pay in public transport in this way.
