Covid-19: Apple would negotiate with China to reopen production plants

Several production plants are currently shut down in China due to local confinements, in connection with Covid-19. Apple would do what is necessary for the factories to be able to revive.

Apple seeks to restart production

According to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Apple would negotiate with the Chinese government in an effort to reopen supplier production plants that were shut down due to Covid-19. Apple would like the factories to restart as early as next week.

“I’m not sure Apple can pull it off, but it may explain why Apple’s supply chain hasn’t seen significant reductions in orders after the Covid-19 lockdowns”explains the analyst adds Kuo.

Recently, we saw that the stock for iPhone SE 3 (2022) is normal. On the other hand, it is much more complicated on the Mac side. There are several weeks to wait for the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro, as well as the Mac Studio, especially custom models with more storage, RAM, or a chip with more cores.
