More than 40 new guides are added to Maps, highlighting the best places with live music. This is music of all genres, so that both concert halls and clubs are included in the overview. You can go to Apple’s Maps for every musical occasion.
New function now only in a limited number of cities
Apple has only released the new feature to a limited extent. According to the company, this is because the local recommendations are selected manually. The new option is therefore currently only available in a few cities. These are the following places:
- Chicago
- Detroit
- Los Angeles
- Nashville
- New York City
- San Francisco
- Berlin
- London
- Paris
- Vienna
- Tokyo
- Melbourne
- Sydney
- Mexico City
So if you visit one of these cities, you can consult Apple Maps for the best places with live music. The app then gives you an overview with recommendations and which shows are planned. Thanks to Apple Tickets, you’ll never miss a great concert at your holiday destination again.
New list added to Apple Music
Apple Music is now also focusing more on concerts. A new list has been added to the app, in which major tours and concerts can be found. There you can also read background information about the show, including the set list of the concert. In the list you can see which concerts will soon be in your area. This makes it easier for fans to see which artists are performing nearby.

The new function is not yet available in a Dutch city. It is expected that you will soon also be able to search for local concerts in the Netherlands via Maps and Apple Music. Unfortunately, this will take a while, because according to Apple, the concerts and locations are chosen manually. It is therefore not yet known when the service will come to the Netherlands.
More new revelations ahead of WWDC
Apple’s announcement of adding concerts to Apple Music and Maps isn’t the company’s first revelation for WWDC. This year’s WWDC will take place from June 5 to June 9. During this period, Apple typically releases the latest software updates, such as iPadOS 17, iOS 17, and watchOS 10.
This year, however, Apple is already revealing a lot before WWDC. For example, the company unveiled new accessibility features for iOS 17 yesterday. Today, this new feature that shows concerts in Apple Music and Maps is already being announced. Are you curious about what will be presented at WWDC? Check out our predictions for WWDC 2023.
