‘Comedy series president Zelensky from Ukraine to Netflix’
Now on television a deadly serious president Zelensky of Ukraine, but you might also be able to laugh with him on Netflix later.
Not in its current condition, but based on an older series. Because you probably know by now that Zelensky was a comedian and actor in Ukraine before he became president. Netflix is now looking at opportunities to land the comedy series starring President Zelensky. Forbes reports on this.
The series may have already been given the green light for Netflix. The American streaming service is still in talks about the rights. This is about the series Servant of the People from 2016. Three seasons have been made of it. Then Zelensky played another comic leader of the people. No one knew then that years later this man would actually become the president of Ukraine. People sometimes make the comparison with Donald Trump. The longtime American president of America was also a TV host and, occasionally, actor before becoming president.
In the past Servant of the People already available on US Netflix. But after the rights expired, the show disappeared again. There was hardly any interest in it at the time. Now that is different. That is why Netflix wants to bring the show back in to give President Zelensky an international stage in the comedy show.
