Codemasters introduced their mobile simulator -apkrig in more detail
As one of China’s largest developers and publishers, NetEase hosted its own presentation of the NetEase Connect 2021 news yesterday. And as the developers from 11bit Studios and especially their colleagues from NetEase promised, so it happened. During the presentation, however, the space was devoted not only to Frostpunk – which was subtitled Rise of City on mobile phones – but also to a plethora of other games, including the ambitious Nordic MMORPG Ragnarök, datadisk for EVE Echoes, but also a realistic racing game. developers from Codemasters.

Frostpunk: Rise of City
But let’s start with the promised Frostpunk – it seems that the mobile version of a successful strategy would not have to be just a pendant created solely for the purpose of making a lot of money. Although the development is taken care of exclusively by NetEase developers, the original Polish authors of the game strictly supervise all aspects and they also guarantee the high quality and playability of Rise of City. There was also talk of microtransactions, which will not be represented in the Endurance regime, but only in the Serenity mode, and will concern rare raw materials for which special buildings can be built. However, the developers confirm that it will be possible to get everything by playing it, only logically it will take more time than if players knocked their wallets on the table. Otherwise, the game tries to stay true to the original, not only with the stylization or physical effects of snow, but also with music, for example. Those interested should see an alpha test in the second half of the year, and the developers have confirmed that the game will run reliably on most phones that were manufactured after 2015.
Racing Master
Another game that fascinated us in yesterday’s list is called Racing Master and the first video attracts races in really top graphics. However, it is necessary to point out that these are not shots from your own gaming, although we do not doubt what can be achieved on mobile devices today. More importantly, however, the information that NetEase collaborates with Codemasters developers on the creation of Racing Master, who have lent the game an EGO engine and its own know-how in the production of racing titles. In addition, unlike titles like Project CARS Mobile, you should be able to actually drive a car in Racing Master, no matter how absurd this confirmation may seem. In addition, the game is to bring more than a hundred licensed vehicles from brands such as Ferrari, Lamborghini, Aston Martin or Porsche and let you drive with a realistic physical model complemented by supposedly matching sounds. The possibility to modify or personalize your own car should also be included, and of course there will also be multiplayer for comparing your own abilities with others. In addition, players will soon have the opportunity to test the game again and find out how this ambitious project actually is.
EVE Echoes
At the end of 2019, the developers from CCP Games confirmed that they are starting work with NetEas on the game EVE Echoes, which is to be a defacto mobile version of the popular EVE Online. A year later, they launched the game with great glory, and since they enjoy satisfactory attention, they boldly continue to develop. At the NetEase Connect 2021 presentation, fans could learn more about the upcoming expansion, which will arrive in June and will focus on space exploration. The biggest innovation will be a scanning mini-game, which will allow players to specify space bodies, as well as locate other players who are on a similar space mission. There will also be a new regime, combining elements of PvE and PvP, called Nihilius Space and dealing with the action of a new anomaly.
Project: Ragnarök
Exactly a year ago, the MMORPG Ragnarök was announced, which, in addition to mobile devices, is also scheduled to arrive on PCs and consoles. The game has been talked about in superlatives before, and analyst Daniel Ahmad, for example, called it an AAA affair, so it was interesting to follow the development and especially what the game looks like after a year. And even though this is more of a lamination – the video explicitly states that these are not shots of the final product – the atmosphere, the quality of workmanship and the overall level of detail bring considerable promise. However, NetEase developers have indicated in the past that the game is likely to be largely dependent on microtransactions, through which players get to better items and other significant packages that are most likely to affect gameplay. That’s why we stay on the ground and even if the game works really well, the gameplay can change everything.
THE RICH GIFT DOES NOT END
The fact that the presentation of NetEase Connect was important for fans of mobile gaming is not only confirmed by the fact that it was commented by the moderator Geoff Keighley, but above all by other interesting announcements that were part of it. Chinese developers have introduced news about Lagrange’s sci-fi strategy, a sequel to the Japanese-inspired Onmyoji hit with the subtitle The World, or the battle royale issue of Naraka: Bladepoint. In addition, all the titles are also aimed at the North American or European market, and it is no longer a question of typical games for the Asian market, which the West would not understand. In addition, it must be admitted that at first glance these are definitely not quick quizzes, and even though we are fully aware of how much ballast can be found in the space of mobile games, similar presentations confirm that there is definitely something to choose from.
