CoD Modern Warfare 2: Beta

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 continues the tradition of a multiplayer beta. In the following we tell you how you can participate in the beta of the first-person shooter.

If you absolutely want to play the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 To play, you must pre-order the first-person shooter on your preferred platform. There is currently no other way to participate in the beta.

All platforms (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC) have a beta period, whether you pre-order the game physically or digitally. If you it pre-ordered digitally, you don’t have to redeem a code in your platform’s shop. As soon as the beta phase starts, you will automatically get access.

If you it physically ordered, you will receive a beta code from your seller by email or in printed form, for example on your receipt. However, this can vary depending on the seller, so to be on the safe side, find out how the beta code is assigned in your shop.

But when does the beta start? The question cannot be answered at the moment, because neither publisher Activision nor developer Infinity Ward have commented on it. So there is currently no official release date for the beta. As soon as we know more, we will update the article.

However, since the game will be released in late October, we can assume that the beta will most likely start towards the end of August or early September. This approximate timeframe would be similar to previous beta phases of previous CoD games, but it’s still just speculation.

The beta process for the respective platforms remains as usual:

• Those who pre-order the PS4 and PS5 versions will be the first to get access to the beta.
• Then everyone with a PlayStation gets their turn, even without a pre-order, as well as those who pre-order from other platforms.
• Finally, everyone can try the beta, even without a pre-order.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is slated for release on October 28th for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC and features Task Force 141 consisting of Captain John Price, Kyle “Gaz” Garrick, “Soap” MacTavish and Simon “Ghost” Riley and Alejandro Vargas.
