‘Cheaper Netflix subscription will have fewer series and films on offer’
Netflix has released more details about the cheaper subscription that is coming. For less money per month you will occasionally see advertisements, but more will change, it becomes clear.
Netflix for less money
It’s been in the air for a while, and Netflix has previously confirmed it’s coming with a cheaper plan. Now new details have been shared about the possibilities of the cheaper plan. At the beginning of 2023, the streaming service will announce the subscription. It is already clear that you will see advertisements for a lower monthly amount. Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos now provides more information about what to expect next.
The offer of the cheaper Netflix subscription will be smaller than that of the normal subscription. According to Sarandos, this is due to the fact that new agreements and deals are needed with producers and film studios for the different types of content. Sarandos says the following about this;
“We can also include the vast majority of what people watch on Netflix in our subscription with commercials. We are still discussing some matters with the studios. We lose some content, but not all. I don’t expect it to be a major obstacle.”
Netflix’s advertising model must be better than the experience offered by TV channels, according to the streaming service. Both for advertisers and consumers. It is not yet known what the price of the subscription will be.
