At the beginning of February 2023, ChatGPT developer OpenAI announced a paid subscription for its AI software. However, the premium version of the chatbot was initially only available in the USA. ChatGPT Plus is now also available in Germany.
ChatGPT Plus costs: How expensive is the premium subscription?
The premium version ChatGPT Plus costs $20 per month in the US. Including sales tax at the rate of 19 percent, the subscription costs 23.80 US dollars in this country. However, this only becomes clear in the course of the booking process, because initially OpenAI also shows a price of 20 US dollars for Germany.
Converted, ChatGPT Plus costs 22.30 euros in Germany (as of February 13, 2023). If you want to subscribe to the premium version, you have to go to the site Navigate through a short checkout via the “Upgrade to Plus” tab. As a payment method, OpenAI currently only offers the option of credit card in Germany.
What is ChatGPT?
ChatGPT is voice software based on artificial intelligence. The special thing about it: For the first time, the AI seems to go beyond pure marketing. As a reaction to the cooperation between Microsoft and OpenAI, Google has responded with its own AI: Google Bard. However, the Google AI is already under criticism.

OpenAI promises that ChatGPT Plus will deliver faster response times than the standard free version. In addition, the premium subscription should have additional functions. Among other things, the AI should run much more reliably in Affordable.
Because: Recently, numerous users of the free version keep reporting problems and error messages because the server load was apparently too high. However, some of these problems are said to also occur with the Plus subscription. If necessary, these can be solved by emptying the browser cache.
