calling and texting to and from Ukraine for free for now

For the time being, customers of T-Mobile, Tele2, Simpel and Ben can call and send text messages to and from Ukraine free of charge. The change will take effect immediately, the magenta-colored provider says.

Free calls to and from Ukraine

Recently, the situation in Ukraine dominated the news. Given the situation, it doesn’t look like a positive change will happen anytime soon. Contact with loved ones can be of great importance to families, acquaintances and friends. This is also how telecom provider T-Mobile realizes itself. The provider is making it possible for all T-Mobile customers to make free calls and texts to and from Ukraine to keep in touch with loved ones, at least until the end of March. This applies not only to customers of T-Mobile Netherlands itself, but also to the brands Tele2, Simpel and Ben, both business and private.

T-Mobile Netherlands CEO, Søren Abildgaard says the following;

“Particularly in anxious and uncertain situations, contact with friends and family is invaluable. With this under such acute pressure, we want to give people the best opportunity to stay connected with their loved ones.”
