A portion of sex with the bartender in the bushes, physically refuel during private moments or hire a nanny so that you can relax on holiday. It makes you creative, that parenting.

Roanne (39): “I learned one thing very quickly on my first holiday as a divorced, single mother with two children, then five and seven: we only go to all-inclusive resorts. The kids spend a few afternoons in the kids’ club and I with the bartender in the bushes for some sex on a beach mat. At home I don’t get to Tinder – can I have a little fun?”

Physical Refuel

Mike (43): “Mán, I’m so glad that our children, aged nine, ten and twelve, are finally old enough to go to the pool on their own. Those hours are our private moments: sometimes my husband and I do it three times a day. Holidays also mean physical refueling for us; At home, in all the hustle and bustle, sometimes it doesn’t happen for weeks.”

With a price tag

Michelle (37): “Call it decadent, but we take a nanny with us on holiday. She shares a family room with our daughters, ages five and eight; we are a few doors down in our luxury hotel. That way we can sleep in too; by the time we’ve slept in and had sex, the kids are already sitting continental breakfast. It comes with a price, but happy parents mean happy children.”
