Buy balcony power plants cheaper: prices for mini solar systems are falling
Rising electricity prices have ensured that many people are interested in balcony power plants. These are small photovoltaic systems that only have one or two solar panels and a micro-inverter and are connected directly to the socket. Now the prices are finally falling, so that the purchase is worthwhile again.
Balcony power plants are finally falling in price
A mini solar system is a simple and affordable way to reduce electricity costs. Due to the simplified registration, it is now very easy to implement a balcony power plant. I will explain step by step how this works in detail. In recent months, the prices for complete sets have risen so much due to massive interest that the purchase is hardly worthwhile anymore. Things are looking very different now. Prices fall as supply chains in China are back up and running.
For a few weeks now, I’ve been observing that prices on the market are slowly moving down again. So we come back into one Price range of less than 800 euros for a complete set consisting of two solar cells, a micro inverter and connection cables (look at eBay). I even assume that the prices will continue to fall due to the tense economic situation in Germany. But if you waited to buy because of the high prices, you can strike again now if the prices for a large set with two solar cells are less than 800 euros.
Ideally, you have a smaller solar dealer near you where you can buy such a balcony power station set directly. But meanwhile good offers are also appearing on eBay, which I can say are worthwhile (look at eBay). At Amazon, the prices are currently far too high and are 1,000 euros or more. It will probably be a while before the sets are cheaper (look at Amazon).
What you need to know about balcony power plants:
You can save so much money
I’ve had my balcony power plant in operation since June 2021 and have saved around 100 euros per year if I use my electricity price of 30 cents per kilowatt hour as the basis for calculation. However, my mini solar system is not perfectly aligned and is somewhat shaded during the day. So you could get more out of it. After about 8 years I got my investment of about 800 euros back. Such a system should run for 25 years if nothing breaks. So it’s worth it either way if you have the opportunity to build such a facility.
