The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Pro are not expected until September. A snotty Chinese copy now preempts this. The “LeBest X14 Pro Max” is not only based on the nomenclature, the rest also looks pretty familiar to us. But in one point the plagiarism even tries to trump the model.

iPhone 14 Pro (Max) copied now

Chinese backyard brands copying the iPhone are not uncommon. In recent years, however, they no longer wait for the presentation of the original, but simply use the previously known, but unofficial, demonstration models. This also happened with the “LeBest X14 Pro Max” (Source: EqualLeaks via MacRumors).

This highlight of Asian craftsmanship is undoubtedly based on the angular design of the well-known Apple original. But not only the frame is cheekily copied, Apple’s unique camera arrangement is also imitated, along with a “LiDAR scanner”, which is not such on the fake.

But what is apparently not plagiarized is the front. Because instead of a notch or the two-part punch-hole design to be expected with the iPhone 14 Pro (Max), the copy only has a small camera hole on the left. Of course, secure facial recognition is not an option with this Android cell phone.

But the copiers don’t dare to use the new iOS 16:

Not only Apple is the victim

And another point distinguishes the LeBest X14 Pro Max from Apple cell phones. On the back there is a small display next to the camera. Look, is “LeBest” still innovative? Not necessarily, because the makers are copying this detail in the home of the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra from last year. This makes the “X14 Pro Max” a kind of Chinese-American hybrid, but not necessarily a good smartphone. From afar, in our opinion.
