BNNVARA comes with interactive game ‘Judge’: this is the goal

BNNVARA has released a new application that serves as an interactive game between different generations. Young people and parents or carers can easily discuss matters in this way.

Judgement

A new interactive game has been released by Dutch broadcaster BNNVARA. With the new game ‘Judge’, the broadcaster wants to start conversations between different generations. This can be about the most diverse subjects and can be useful, for example, between young people and parents. The application was launched with today in mind. On October 11, it is National Coming Out Day, which draws attention to the moment when someone openly admits gender identity or sexual preference. An exciting moment, because how do your parents react to this news?

The interactive game should lower the threshold in this regard and help get the conversation going between children and parents. Studies and polls show that parents don’t always have the right level of knowledge about these kinds of things. Bringing this knowledge can make it take a more open attitude, which helps the conversation with children.

Operation

But how does the game work? BNNVARA says the following about this;

The game simply starts with the question: “Hey Dad/Mom/Caregiver, put in an earpiece?”. Both players wear one (wireless) earpiece. Quizmaster Jurre Geluk lets you hear a different fragment through each ear. Both players then discuss what they have heard in order to arrive at a discussion and joint final decision.

During the game, both players can decide for themselves which social topics they want to discuss with the other. The topics are: Appearance, LGBTIQ+, Nature, Love & Relationships, Climate Change, Mental Health, Gender, Racism, Drugs, Sustainability and Money.

You can play Judgment at this link. It is best to use the application on the smartphone.
