Bizarre iCloud bug excludes famous actress from account
It’s silly when a bug occurs, in this case with iCloud. It’s even sillier when a celebrity is involved in the mischief.
The downside, for Apple, is that the bug immediately hits the headlines. Actress Rachel True says she has been dealing with a very strange iCloud bug. Apple’s system banned her account because it detected an error with her last name.
In code language, ‘true’ and ‘false’ are important values. The last name of this actress is True. In iCloud, the actress’s last name was written with a lowercase letter. By mistaking the name for a code, iCloud went crazy. True says the problem has been going on for six months and Apple hasn’t solved anything for her to date.
iCloud last name bug
Not only does she not have access to her iCloud account. The subscription costs also continue happily. Now that this bug has been picked up by the media, it seems unlikely that Apple will not respond yet. You would expect the problem to be solved quickly for the American. On social media, a know-it-all responds with advice for the actress: change your last name and it will no longer be mistaken for a code. Welcome to 2021.
