Bitcoin provider LiteBit warns against phishing

There are fake emails circulating that claim to come from Bitcoin provider LiteBit.

Do you trade in cryptocurrency via LiteBit or have you ever created an account there that you don’t do much with? In any case, if you have an active email address linked to a LiteBit account, you should watch out for phishing. The company warns about this.

In recent days, LiteBit has seen a huge increase in email phishing attempts. The emails ask you to verify your account and/or add missing information. The emails look just like real, so don’t be fooled. If you have not asked for anything yourself, you will not just receive such an email.

To verify your account and/or add missing information via the fake emails, you will then arrive at a web page to log in. As soon as you have entered your LiteBit account and password here, criminals are in the hands of your data.

LiteBit has provided three tips to help you find out whether you are dealing with phishing or not. Check the sender’s email address. Then check the link in the email and thirdly, check the subject of the email.
