Rumor: Bigger, more powerful iMac coming later than expected
According to a tweet from dylandkt Apple has decided not to release the new high-end iMac in 2021. The company wants to prevent the device from competing with other products that are still in the pipeline. This is bad news for users who have been waiting for a new Pro iMac for a long time.

In addition to the new iMac, Apple is also rumored to have several MacBooks, a new iPhone, an Apple Watch and an iPad mini in the works. Too many launches result in less attention per product. It is therefore not surprising that Apple tries to spread its announcements as much as possible.
Anonymous yummy dylandkt was often right in the past. Still, it’s good to take this rumor with a grain of salt. Until now, all other rumors pointed to an iMac release in 2021.
A little longer patience for Apple Silicon in larger iMac
The larger iMac is expected to replace the current 27-inch model (with Intel chip). With the new iMac, Apple is switching to Apple Silicon. This will probably be a new version of the powerful M1 chip, which we know from the 24-inch iMac. We expect to see this new chip in the new MacBook Pro later this year.

Previous rumors suggested we might see the bigger iMac soon, but now it looks like potential buyers will have to sit on their debit cards for a few more months.
