Beware of fake job offers on social networks
Fraudsters are again on social networks. They currently use the good name of Slovenská pošta. Fake job offers are rising on her behalf. In connection with this, unknown persons request to send copies of personal documents directly via the social network, Slovenská pošta informs in a press release.
“Slovenská pošta never carries out recruitment activities in this way and never requires a copy of personal documents to be sent via social networks. Citizens should therefore be vigilant and not respond to fraudulent job offers. “
Iveta Dorčáková, spokeswoman of the Slovak Post.
Scams are becoming more sophisticated, so you should be more careful
In this way, attackers gain sensitive information about individuals, which they can then use for various purposes. They may sell the information to third parties or use it for other unfair activities on behalf of the fraudulent person.
Recently, this type of fraud has become quite widespread, and more and more people are hitting it every day. Therefore, you should be careful when providing your personal information. If the job offer is serious, be sure to include the name of the company advertising, or other information that you can easily check and verify.
If you feel deceived by the actions of strangers, you can contact law enforcement agencies, which are the only ones authorized to investigate.
