Marek Krajčí: We are thinking about SMS passes

Today, the Minister of Health Marek Krajčí mentioned the possibility of protecting people and preventing high mobility – through SMS passes. Such a model is said to have been tested in Greece, and we could be one of the first countries to introduce it.

Krajčí is considering SMS passes

At the meeting today, they talked about the possibility of controlling the movement of people by SMS messages. It would work something like this: I need to go to the doctor, so I’ll write an SMS with maybe some details to the headquarters and she will tell me if I can go. If a policeman meets me along the way, I’ll show him the aforementioned SMS and I can go on. However, something may change or expand, as he said in his statement that he does not want to overtake yet.

The reason, according to Aktuality, is the fact that despite the curfew, the number of patients in hospitals will not decrease. Tailors will call in experts tomorrow and will discuss whether and how to put this measure into practice. It may happen that they eventually come up with something else, or at least we will get more precise details about how it will go.

We don’t even know who we would send such SMS to yet. That’s why there was a joke on the Internet that it resembled childhood. At that time, we asked our parents if we could go out and by when. In a similar way, we will now ask Marek Krajčí (not literally) that whether and when we can go out. Will we really write SMS even when we go to the store or to nature?
