DiskUsage

No, DiskUsage isn’t Mom’s prettiest. The app has not changed in appearance over the years. Actually, this is not necessary, because: never change a winning team. And that DiskUsage is a winner is clear. An average rating of 4.5 stars on the Google Play Store, with a total of between 1 million downloads. DiskUsage is not a new app, but it remains indispensable for many people to quickly find out where all the space is going on your internal memory. The app has been doing this excellently for years.

Journey: Diary, Journal

There are many journaling apps on the Play Store, but none of them have as many interesting features as Journey. Journey is a digital diary with many possibilities. The first useful feature is cross-platform synchronization. You can keep track of everything in the app and easily find it via the calendar view, the view with only photos and videos, an atlas (posts based on location) and dashboard with graphical display of the number of posts you’ve made in Journey. In addition, the app is your coach to, among other things, motivate you to keep up your good habits. Journey is available as an Android app, web app, an app for Mac and Windows, among others, and there is a Chrome extension to quickly copy and paste text into Journey.

WeNote

WeNote is a real competitor to Google Keep, but WeNote still comes with a number of trump cards compared to Google’s app. First of all, WeNote brings more options for formatting text. There are two fonts and five font sizes. In addition, the app has different themes and display options for the overview of your notes. You can make a copy of your notes or pin a note to the top of your phone’s notifications. What is also special is that you can lock your notes using the fingerprint scanner. The app can sync your notes in Google Drive.

WeNote is free, but if you want access to all themes and a widget, you should opt for the paid version. This works via a one-time purchase where you purchase functions separately or a so-called combi deal, although it is quite pricey. The free version may already be enough for you.
