Badass Batmobile is electric and for sale
Whether you can go on the road in the Netherlands with this colossus is the question, but this Batmobile is electric and for sale.
There are many Batman fans in the world. But there are possibly even more fans of the Batmobile. The thing is brutal, tough, sinister and big. So you must have that device in your driveway. With sustainability becoming increasingly important, this version is also electrically powered.
Batmobile is electric
Architect and artist Nguyen Dac Chung started this project. Our lead used the Vietnam-based Macro Studios blueprints from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy to faithfully recreate the film’s Tumbler vehicle. That worked out well!
The result may be there. A replica that is the spitting image of Batman’s iconic beast. But that’s not all, it also has an eco-friendly twist: it’s electric. On birthdays you can simply say that you drive electric.

The colossus weighs surprisingly little. A good 600 kilos, this is partly because the electric Tumbler has the same tubular steel chassis as the original, but replaces the bulky metal body with lightweight panels made of ABS plastic, carbon fiber and composite. This saves a considerable amount of weight. Fortunately, otherwise the device cannot be moved with an electric drive. This would be a drain on the batteries.
In the original Batmobile was a hefty 5.7-liter V-8 of 500 horsepower. This has made way for an electric powertrain and a few lithium-ion batteries that allow the car to reach 100 kilometers per hour. The range is unknown, but don’t expect too much from it. Price? No idea, if you are interested you can email the company.
